Bike Baltimore
Bike Baltimore is the Baltimore City Department of Transportation’s program to plan, design, implement and maintain high-quality bike infrastructure. Biking is a transportation and recreation option that should be accessible to residents and visitors in all parts of Baltimore, regardless of experience level. It is an economical and healthy way to get around, but major gaps in our network of bicycle infrastructure mean that most people who are interested in riding a bike do not feel safe doing so on Baltimore’s streets as currently designed. The Bike Baltimore team helps coordinate efforts across many departments to strategically address these gaps, so bicycling can be a safe and comfortable mobility choice for anyone interested.
Our page is currently under construction, but will soon host our ongoing bike design and construction projects, our guiding master plan documents, a map of Baltimore’s current bike facilities, and recent data from our annual volunteer counts of bike riders at key locations.
