Daily lane closures may cause congestion and delays

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard for roadway resurfacing work.

Starting on or about Monday, April 16, 2018 daily lane closures will be implemented along Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard between Franklin and Eutaw Streets from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.  During these times, one lane of through traffic will be closed in each direction for construction activities.

Then starting on or about May 18, 2018, nightly lane closures will occur along this stretch of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard for construction work.  Nightly lane closures will be implemented from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night, weather permitting, with one lane of through traffic closed in each direction.

This resurfacing work is expected to be complete by the end of August, 2018.  During construction, citizens may encounter traffic delays, rough roadway conditions and noise when overnight work occurs.
