Light Rail Track Repairs Scheduled for This Weekend at Intersection of Baltimore and Howard Streets

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that portions of Howard and Baltimore Streets will be temporarily closed this weekend for MTA Light Rail track repair work.

Starting at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 and continuing through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, October 09, 2017 northbound Howard Street will be closed to through traffic at the intersection of Baltimore Street with detours in effect, weather permitting.  Motorists traveling north on Howard Street will be permitted to turn right onto Baltimore Street during this time. 

In addition, Baltimore Street will be closed to through traffic between Eutaw and Howard Streets. 

Variable message signs have been placed in the area to alert citizens of the closures.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
