Falls Road Ramp Resurfacing Work

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that the Falls Road exit ramp from the northbound Jones Falls Expressway will temporarily close this weekend for resurfacing work. 

Starting at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 and continuing through 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017, the exit ramp to Falls Road from the northbound Jones Falls Expressway will be closed to through traffic with detours in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Federal Hill Oktoberfest

This weekend, traffic modifications will be in effect this weekend for the Federal Hill Oktoberfest. 

Starting at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 and continuing through 12:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017, the following streets will be closed to through traffic with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • S. Charles Street from Hamburg to West Streets
  • E. Cross Street (both drives) from Charles to Light Streets
  • W. cross Street from Charles to Oliver Streets
  • Patapsco Street from Poultney to West Streets
  • Marshall Street from Cross to West Streets

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Marian House Race to Embrace Independence 5K

This Saturday, September 23, 2017 temporary lane closures will be in effect for the Marion House Race to Embrace Independence 5K.  The event will kick off at 9:00 a.m.

Participants will begin the race at Lake Montebello and turn right on E. 33rd Street, right on Ednor Road, left on E. 36th Street, left on Ellerslie Avenue, and left on Gorsuch Avenue.  The course proceeds left on Loch Raven Boulevard, right on E. 33rd Street and left back to Lake Montebello to finish.

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in this area for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the 24 Baltimore 5K

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be in effect for the 24 Baltimore 5K.  The event will kick off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017.  The course will be open to participants for a 24 hour period until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017.

The 5K will begin and end along Art Museum Drive at the Baltimore Museum of Art.  Participants will head west on Art Museum Drive, right on Wyman Park Drive, right on San Martin Drive, right on University Parkway, right on the southbound service drive of Charles Street and right back on Art Museum Drive to finish.

During the event, the following roadways will be closed:

  • Art Museum Drive from Charles Street to Wyman Park Drive
  • San Martin Drive from Wyman Park Drive to W. University Parkway

In addition, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in this area for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
