The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a portion of Light Street will close this weekend for the demolition of a pedestrian bridge. 

Starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 Light Street will be closed to through traffic between Pratt and Conway Streets with detours in effect.  This portion of Light Street will remain closed to through traffic until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016.  

Detour signs and variable message signs will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the closure.  Commuters utilizing Light Street will be detoured onto Lombard Street and Hopkins Place. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should expect delays and are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes.
