Weekend Road Closures for Friday, April 28th through Sunday, April 30th, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following activities this weekend. Lane Closures for CFG Bank Arena Events

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented in the vicinity of the new CFG Bank Arena.

The following lane closures will be implemented on Friday, April 28, 2023 from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.:

• Northbound Howard Street at Pratt Street - left lane closure
• Eastbound Pratt Street at Howard Street - left lane closure
• Westbound Lombard Street at Howard Street - right lane closure
• Eastbound Baltimore Street between Howard Street and Park Avenue - left lane closure

These lane closures will also be implemented:

• Saturday, April 29, 2023 from approximately 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Sunday, April 30, 2023 from approximately 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks.

Traffic Modifications for the Cardinal Cup 5K

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Cardinal Cup 5K.

On Saturday, April 29th, 2023, the following race route will be used from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Race Route:

• Begin at the School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen
• Make a right onto Charles Street
• Make a right onto Wyndhurst Avenue
• Make a right onto Roland Avenue
• Make a right onto Northern Parkway
• Make a right onto Charles Street
• Make a right into the School of Cathedral of Mary Our Queen parking lot to finish the race

One travel lane will be coned off along the route for the participants where possible. Baltimore City Police and Traffic Enforcement Officers will be stationed along the route to help facilitate the movement of traffic. Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of participants.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Northwood Baseball League Opening Day Parade

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and race route in effect for the Northwood Baseball League Opening Day Parade.

On Saturday, April 29th, 2023, the following road closures and race route will be implemented from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Road Closures:

• Hartsdale Road from Fenwick Avenue to Loch Raven Boulevard 
• Southbound Loch Raven Boulevard from Fenwick Avenue to Argonne Drive
• Eastbound Argonne Drive from Loch Raven Boulevard to Hillen Road

Race Route:

• Begin at Northwood Elementary School
• Make a left onto Loch Raven Boulevard
• Make a right onto Argonne Drive
• Cross Hillen Road into Northwood Baseball League Inc. field to end parade

Baltimore City Police will be stationed along the route to help facilitate the movement of traffic. Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of participants.

Road Closure for the Brewers Hill / Canton / Highlandtown Joint Block Party

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closure in effect for the Brewers Hill / Canton / Highlandtown Joint Block Party.  

On Saturday, April 29th, 2023 beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. the following road closure will be implemented:

• Fait Avenue from South Conkling Street to South Dean Street 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for Crane, Cleaning, Repair Operations and a Special Event

This weekend, temporary road and lane closures will be in effect for crane, roadway repair, cleaning operations and a special event.  

On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the following road closures will be implemented:

• Lane closures of westbound East Patapsco Avenue from Fairfield Avenue to Shell Road 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (roadway repairs)
• Baltimore Street from Gay Street to President Street 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (crane operation)
• Calvert Street from Madison Avenue to Monument Street 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (crane operation)
• Multilane closure of Greenspring Avenue from Northern Parkway to Cylburn Avenue 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (milling and paving)
• Lane closure of Howard Street from North Avenue to John Street 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (right of way cleaning)
• Two right lanes of North Charles Street from East Fayette Street to East Saratoga Street 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (special event)

On Sunday, April 30, 2023, the following road closure will be implemented:

• Baltimore Street from Gay Street to President Street 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (crane operation)

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, April 30, 2023 the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

• Holliday Street closed from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
• Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
• Hillen Street center lane closure at Fallsway

Girls On The Run Greater Chesapeake 5K 

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the Girls on the Run Greater Chesapeake 5K that will be held in Druid Hill Park on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

During the event, lane closures and temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of participants. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns.
