

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following events this weekend.
Commercial Vehicle Restrictions and Traffic Modifications for Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks at the Inner Harbor
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the commercial vehicle restrictions and traffic modifications that will be implemented for Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display at the Inner Harbor.
In preparation for the fireworks, temporary commercial vehicle restrictions will be in effect from 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 until 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 01, 2023. During this time, commercial vehicles will not be permitted in the downtown / Inner Harbor areas of Baltimore City, except for local deliveries. Please note that tanker trailers will not be permitted downtown during this time, including those for local deliveries. This commercial vehicle restriction excludes cabs, buses and other mass transportation vehicles.
Motorists should pay strict attention to the restrictions and road/lane closures in effect on New Year’s Eve. Commercial vehicle restrictions, along with all parking restrictions will be strictly enforced.

The following streets will be closed from 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 until event traffic clears:

The following parking restrictions will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 until 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 01, 2023:
Due to the large number of people expected in the downtown area for the New Year’s Eve fireworks display, patrons are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including the Light Rail and Metro Subway. Please note that the Charm City Circulator will not be operating on Saturday, December 31, 2022 (New Year's Eve) and Sunday, January 1, 2023 (New Year's Day).
Patrons who wish to drive downtown should park at commercial parking facilities and avoid area neighborhoods. Vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed. Motorists should exercise patience and be on the watch for pedestrians while driving downtown, especially when approaching area crosswalks.
Transportation Enforcement Officers along with the Baltimore City Police Department will be working throughout the downtown area to help facilitate the movement of traffic.

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Ravens Football Game
On Sunday, January 1st, 2023, starting at approximately 5:00 p.m. through Monday, January 2nd, 2023 at 1:00 a.m. the following roadways will be closed to through traffic:
Streets will be closed before the start of the game and before the end of the game.
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Service Alert For The Charm City Circulator
Today, Friday, December 30, 2022, please be advised Charm City Circulator (CCC) service is canceled for today, effective immediately. Service cancellation is due to a transition in contractor servicing, fleet inspections, and emergency maintenance necessary to resume service in the new year. Due to the large number of people expected in the downtown area for the New Year’s Eve fireworks display, patrons are strongly encouraged to use the Light Rail and Metro Subway. Please note that the Charm City Circulator will not be operating on Saturday, December 31, 2022 (New Year's Eve), and Sunday, January 1, 2023 (New Year's Day). The CCC will issue a service update on Monday, January 2nd, 2023, outlining service expectations for January 2023 as fleet preparations are finalized.
