High Traffic Volumes Expected Downtown Saturday Afternoon/Evening for the Baltimore Ravens Preseason Game

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that high traffic volumes are expected downtown Saturday afternoon and evening for the Baltimore Ravens Preseason game against the Washington Commanders which will be held at M&T Bank Stadium starting at 7:00 p.m.

In preparation for Saturday’s game, the northbound Russell Street Service Drive, which runs alongside M&T Bank Stadium, will be closed to vehicular traffic on August 27, 2022 between West and Hamburg Streets prior to and during the game. 

Football fans attending the game should be advised that all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium will be strictly enforced for everyone’s safety.  Patrons choosing to drive to the stadium should park at commercial lots and avoid area neighborhoods.  Fans that do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation including the Metro SubwayLink, Light RailLink or the Charm City Circulator.  

The Department of Transportation will deploy Transportation Enforcement Officers to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the stadium on Saturday should be on the watch for heavy pedestrian/vehicular traffic during this event.

Weekend Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway for vegetation removal and cleaning activities.

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, a right lane closure will be implemented along the northbound Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Then on Sunday, August 28, 2022, a left lane closure will be implemented along both the northbound and southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  In addition, the following ramps will also close on Sunday during these times with detours in effect:

• Druid Park Lake Drive entrance ramp to the northbound Jones Falls Expressway
• 29^th Street entrance ramp to the northbound Jones Falls Expressway

W. Hamburg Street Temporary Closure

This Saturday, a portion of W. Hamburg Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, W. Hamburg Street will be closed to through traffic between S. Hanover and S. Charles Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Camden Street Temporary Closure

This Saturday, a portion of Camden Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, Camden Street will be closed to through traffic between S. Paca and S. Eutaw Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

S. Exeter Street Temporary Closure

This Saturday, a portion of S. Exeter Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, S. Exeter Street will be closed to through traffic between Aliceanna and Fleet Streets from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

• Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
• Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
• Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Hilton Parkway Temporary Lane Closures

This Sunday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Hilton Parkway for cleaning activities.

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along northbound and southbound Hilton Parkway between North Avenue and Edmondson Avenue from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  One lane of through traffic will remain open for motorists in each direction during this time.
