Road Closures for the Baltimore Street Food Festival at Power Plant Live

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary road closures will be implemented for the Baltimore Street Food Festival at Power Plant Live. 

On Saturday, March 26, 2022, the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting:

• Water Street between Frederick Street and Market Place
• Market Place between Water and Lombard Streets 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Hilton Parkway Lane Closures

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Hilton Parkway for cleaning activities.

On Saturday, March 26, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along both northbound and southbound Hilton Parkway between Edmondson Avenue and North Avenue from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Baltimore Street Temporary Closure

This Saturday, a portion of Baltimore Street will temporarily close for a crane operation. 

On Saturday, March 26, 2022, Baltimore Street will be closed to through traffic between Calvert Street and Guilford Avenue from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting, with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

W. Baltimore Street Lane Closures

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of W. Baltimore Street for a crane operation.

On Saturday, March 26, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented along W. Baltimore Street between Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Pine Street from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.  One lane of through travel will remain open for motorists during this time.

29th Street Lane Closures

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of 29th Street for streetlighting work.

On Saturday, March 26, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented along 29th Street between Sisson Street and Druid Park Lake Drive from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.  One lane of through travel will remain open for motorists during this time.

Road Closures for the Maryland Greek Independence Day Parade

This Sunday, temporary road closures will be implemented for the Maryland Greek Independence Day Parade.

The parade kicks off from the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Haven Street at 2:00 p.m.  Participants will proceed east on Eastern Avenue and south on Ponca Street to disband past the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at Fait Avenue.

The parade will begin forming at approximately 11:00 a.m. along Eastern Avenue in the vicinity of the Eastern Avenue underpass between Haven Street and Lehigh Street. 

During the parade, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic on Sunday, March 27, 2022 with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

• Eastern Avenue between Haven and Quail Streets
• Ponca Street between Eastern Avenue and Hudson Street

Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the parade for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Lane Closures Along MD 295

This Sunday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along MD 295 for cleaning activities.

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, temporary left lane closures will be implemented along northbound and southbound MD 295 between Hamburg Street and the county line from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This Sunday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway for cleaning activities.

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, temporary left lane closures will be implemented along both the northbound and southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
