Weekend Road Closures for March 18-20, 2022

Weekend Closure of Ramp from Northbound MD 295 to Northbound I-95

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that the ramp from northbound MD 295 (Russell Street) to northbound I-95 in Baltimore City will temporarily close this weekend for ongoing work related to the Maryland Transportation Authority’s deck rehabilitation and joint modifications project on eight bridges along I-95 in Baltimore City.

Starting at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022, the ramp from northbound MD 295 (Russell Street) to northbound I-95 will be closed to through traffic with detours in effect, weather permitting.  This ramp will remain closed until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022

This ramp is also scheduled to be closed again the following weekend from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, weather permitting.

During the closures, motorists will be detoured to Russell Street, to southbound I-395, then to northbound I-95.  Throughout the weekend, motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along MD 295

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along MD 295 for cleaning activities.

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, temporary left lane closures will be implemented along northbound and southbound MD 295 between Hamburg Street and the county line from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting. 

Then on Sunday, March 20, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along this stretch of MD 295 from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.  Temporary intermittent ramp closures will also be implemented throughout the day with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway for streetlighting work and cleaning activities.

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along the northbound Jones Falls Expressway between North Avenue and the county line from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Then on Sunday, March 20, 2022, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along both the northbound and southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Fayette Street and the county line from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Argonne Drive Temporary Closure

This Saturday, a portion of Argonne Drive will temporarily close for tree removal work. 

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, Argonne Drive will be closed to through traffic between Hillen Road and Morgan State Campus Drive from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

E. Monument Street Lane Closures

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of E. Monument Street for utility work.

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented along E. Monument Street between Patterson Park and Montford Avenues from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures and Traffic Flagging Operation Along Portion of S. Charles Street

This Saturday, temporary lane closures and a traffic flagging operation will be implemented along a portion of S. Charles Street for utility work.

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented along S. Charles Street between Henrietta and Wheeling Streets from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.  In addition, a traffic flagging operation will be implemented to direct motorists through the work zone.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures and Traffic Flagging Operation at Intersection of 33rd Street and Greenmount Avenue

This Sunday, temporary lane closures and a traffic flagging operation will be implemented at the intersection of 33rd Street and Greenmount Avenue for new traffic signal activation.

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented at the intersection of 33rd Street and Greenmount Avenue from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.  In addition, a traffic flagging operation will be implemented to direct motorists through the work zone.

These lane closures may cause traffic congestion and delays throughout the day.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Hazelwood Avenue Lane Closures

This Sunday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Hazelwood Avenue for utility work.

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, temporary lane closures will be implemented along Hazelwood Avenue between Cedonia and Eurith Avenues from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

These lane closures will be implemented daily along this stretch of Hazelwood Avenue through Thursday, March 24, 2022 during the same times, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
