Weekend Road Closures for December 10-12, 2021

Temporary Closures of Ramp from Northbound MD-295 to Northbound I-95 in Baltimore City

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary closures of the ramp from northbound MD-295 to northbound I-95 in Baltimore City will be implemented by the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA), as part of their deck rehabilitation and joint modifications project.

Starting this evening, Thursday, December 9, 2021, the ramp from northbound MD-295 to northbound I-95 in Baltimore City will be closed to through traffic from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning with detours in effect, weather permitting.  Then, a weekend-long closure of this ramp is scheduled for Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021.

In addition, overnight closures of the ramp are scheduled for Monday, December 13, 2021 through Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning each night, weather permitting.

During the closures, motorists will be detoured to Russell Street, to southbound I-395, to northbound I-95.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Weekend Road Closures and Parking Restrictions in Fell’s Point

This weekend, temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented in Fell’s Point.

Starting on Friday, December 10, 2021 and continuing each evening through Sunday, December 12, 2021, all through traffic will be restricted in Fell’s Point from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. within the following geographical boundaries:

  • South of Aliceanna Street
  • North of Thames Street
  • East of S. Bond Street
  • West of S. Ann Street

Various parking restrictions will also be implemented in Fell’s Point throughout the weekend.  Visitors and residents should pay close attention to all posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in restricted areas.  Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced for everyone’s safety.  Residents with ‘Area 16’ Residential Parking Permits will be allowed to access areas closed to through traffic.

Motorists should be aware that additional road closures and parking restrictions may be implemented in the vicinity of Fell’s Point throughout the weekend if needed. 

 

Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway for streetlighting work.

On Saturday, December 11, 2021, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway between the county line and Guilford Avenue from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along Falls Road

This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of Falls Road for conduit work.

On Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12, 2021, temporary lane closures will be implemented along north and southbound Falls Road between Mattfeldt and Kelly Avenues from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along S. Caroline Street

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of S. Caroline Street for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, December 11, 2021, temporary lane closures will be implemented along north and southbound S. Caroline Street between Lancaster and Aliceanna Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Lane Closures Along E. 25th Street

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of E. 25th Street for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, December 11, 2021, temporary lane closures will be implemented along east and westbound E. 25th Street between Barclay Street and Brentwood Avenue from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, December 12, 2021 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

E. Cross Street Crane Lift

This Sunday, a portion of E. Cross Street will be closed for a crane lift operation.

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, E. Cross Street will be closed between S. Charles and Light Streets from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning with parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting.
