Traffic Modifications for Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented for the Baltimore Orioles home game against the Toronto Blue Jays, which will be held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

In preparation for the game Friday afternoon, the following streets will be closed on Friday, September 10, 2021 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m.:

• Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
• Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
• Lee Street from Ramp D to Russell Street
• Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets
• Washington Boulevard from Paca to Greene Streets
• Left lane closure along northbound Russell Street from Lee to Pratt Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, September 10, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m.:

• East side of Greene Street from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
• East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
• North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented for the Orioles home games on Saturday, September 11, 2021 starting at approximately 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 12, 2021 starting at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks. 

Weekend Road Closures and Parking Restrictions in Fells Point

This weekend, temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented in Fells Point.

Starting on Friday, September 10, 2021 and continuing each evening through Sunday, September 12, 2021, all through traffic will be restricted in Fells Point from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. within the following geographical boundaries:

• South of Aliceanna Street
• North of Thames Street
• East of S. Bond Street
• West of S. Ann Street

In addition, various parking restrictions will be implemented in Fells Point throughout the weekend.  Fells Point visitors and residents should pay close attention to all posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in restricted areas. 

Residential Permit Parking will be strictly enforced throughout the weekend in Fells Point (RPP Area 16) and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed.  Fells Point Residential Permit Parking in Area 16 will be enforced along the following roadways:

• Aliceanna Street     • Broadway

• Fleet Street              • Shakespeare Street

• Ann Street               • Thames Street

• Lancaster Street     • Dallas Street

• Bethel Street           • Wolfe Street

• Register Street        • Durham Street

• Bond Street             • Fell Street

To ensure that residents have access to parking near their homes, residents will be allowed to access areas closed to through traffic with their ‘Area 16’ Residential Parking permits.

Motorists should be aware that additional road closures and parking restrictions may be implemented in the vicinity of Fells Point throughout the weekend if needed.  Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

Portion of Commerce Street to Close This Weekend

This weekend, a portion of Commerce Street will temporarily closure for a crane lift operation.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, Commerce Street will be closed to through traffic between Baltimore and Lombard Streets with detours and parking restrictions in effect.  This portion of Commerce Street will remain closed until approximately 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Run to Remember

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that traffic modifications will be in effect for the Run to Remember 5K/11K Run.  The event will begin on Pratt Street in front of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

The 5K run will begin on Pratt Street at the intersection of Commerce Street.  Participants will proceed west on Pratt Street in the left lanes, then turn left onto to Light Street, left on Key Highway, right on Webster Street, and right on E. Randall Street.  The course proceeds left on Johnson Street, right on E. Wells Street, right on Light Street and right on E. Fort Avenue.  Participants will turn left on Williams Street, right on Warren Avenue, and left into Federal Hill Park where they will finish the race.

The 11K run will also will begin on Pratt Street at the intersection of Commerce Street.  Participants will proceed west on Pratt Street in the left lanes, then turn left onto to Light Street, left on Key Highway, right on Webster Street, and left on Fort Avenue into Fort McHenry.  Runners will loop inside Ft. McHenry, then exit onto Fort Avenue and turn left on Andre Street to the turn-around point before the train tracks.  The course proceeds left on Fort Avenue, left on Decatur Street, left into the bus loop in front of Francis Scott Key Elementary School, right back onto Decatur, and left back onto Fort Avenue.  Runners will turn left on Webster Street, right on E. Randall Street, left on Johnson Street, right on E. Wells Street, right on Light Street and right on W. Fort Avenue.  The course proceeds left on William Street and right on Warren Street to finish in Federal Hill Park.

In preparation for this event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops will occur along the race route for the safety of participants.  

Traffic and pedestrians will be allowed to cross through periodic breaks in the race at various intersections during the event.  Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the run should allow additional travel time and be on the watch for pedestrians.  The use of alternate routes is strongly encouraged to avoid delays.

Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway for streetlighting work.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, temporary right lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway between the county line and Maryland Avenue from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  In addition, the Falls Road entrance ramp to the southbound Jones Falls Expressway will also close during this time with detours in effect.

Portion of Eastbound Eastern Avenue to Close for Crane Lift

This Saturday, a portion of eastbound Eastern Avenue will temporarily closure for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, eastbound Eastern Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Broadway and Ann Street from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Portion of Washington Place to Close for Crane Lift

This Saturday, a portion of Washington Place will temporarily closure for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, the west side of Washington Place will be closed to through traffic between Mt. Vernon Place and Madison Street from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 12:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

North Avenue Lane Closure

This Saturday, a temporary lane closure will be implemented along a portion of North Avenue for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, a single lane closure will be implemented along North Avenue between Charles and St. Paul Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

N. Ellwood Avenue Traffic Flagging Operation

This Saturday, a temporary traffic flagging operation will be implemented along a portion of N. Ellwood Avenue for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, a traffic flagging operation will be implemented along N. Ellwood Avenue between Monument and Madison Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.   Traffic flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone during this time.

McMechen Street Overnight Closure

This Sunday, a portion of McMechen Street will close overnight for a crane lift operation.

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, McMechen Street will be closed to through traffic between North Avenue and the Light Rail facility from approximately 1:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. with detours in effect.

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, September 10, 2021 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

• Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
• Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
• Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure
