The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a portion of Charles Street will close on Sunday for the Walters Art Museum Lunar New Year Celebration.  This annual event will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Mount Vernon from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   

In preparation for the event, the west side/leg of N. Charles Street will be closed to through traffic on Sunday, January 26, 2020 between Centre Street and Mt. Vernon Place from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  During this time, motorists will utilize the east leg of Charles Street. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
