Traffic Modifications for the Charm City Crab Run 5K
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications which will be implemented for the Charm City Crab Run 5K Footrace. The race will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 and kicks off at 9:30 a.m. from Harbor Point Central Plaza.
The race will begin at Wills Street between Point and Dock Streets. Runners will turn right onto Dock Street, left on Caroline Street, right on Aliceanna Street, and right on Boston Street to the turnaround point at Linwood Avenue. Participants will follow Boston Street back to Aliceanna Street, turn left on Aliceanna, left on Exeter Street, left on Lancaster Street and right on S. Central Avenue to finish just before Point Street.
During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible. Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event for the safety of participants, which may cause delays. Commuters traveling in these areas should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications which will be in effect for the Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K Footrace. The race will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 starting at 8:00 a.m.
The race will begin along Key Highway at Battery Avenue and end at Rash Field. During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible. Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event for the safety of participants, which may cause delays. Commuters traveling in these areas should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Baltimore Women’s Classic Turn by Turn Directions:
• Start on Key Highway at Battery Avenue
• Head east on Key Highway
• Right on Jackson Street
• Right on Fort Avenue
• Turn right on Race Street
• Left on W. Ostend Street
• Right on Leadenhall Street
• Right on W. Hamburg Street
• Turn left on S. Charles Street
• Right on Henrietta Street
• Right on Light Street and then immediate left on Warren Avenue
• Left on William Street
• Right on Key Highway
• Left on Valencia Court to the Harbor Promenade
• Follow Promenade past the Rusty Scupper to finish on Rash Field
Lane Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway
On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway for maintenance work. On Saturday, June 22, 2019, temporary lane closures will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway between Cold Spring Lane and North Avenue from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In addition, the access ramp from eastbound Northern Parkway to northbound/southbound Jones Falls Expressway will also temporarily close during these times.
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Lane Closures Along I-295
This Saturday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of I-295 for maintenance work. On Saturday, June 22, 2019, temporary lane closures will be implemented along both northbound and southbound I-295 between Bush Street and the county line from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
St. Paul Street Lane Closures
This weekend, temporary lane closures will be implemented along a portion of St. Paul Street for construction work.
On Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2019, temporary lane closures will be implemented along St. Paul Street at the intersection of 26th Street from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. At least one lane of through traffic will remain open along St. Paul Street during these times.
Citizens traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
