Portion of Hamilton Avenue Temporarily Closed for Roadway Construction

Westbound Frankford Avenue and Carter Avenue are also affected;

Paving operations will also begin this week along Frankford Avenue

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that portions of Hamilton Avenue, westbound Frankford Avenue and Carter Avenue will temporarily close for roadway construction, as part of the on-going Geometric Improvement Project.   

The following roadways were closed this morning and will remain closed to through traffic until approximately 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 with detours in effect:

  • Hamilton Avenue between Frankford Avenue and Walther Boulevard
  • Westbound Frankford Avenue between Walther Boulevard and Hamilton Avenue
  • Carter Avenue between Hamilton and Evergreen Avenues

During this time, local access will be maintained for area residents and businesses. 

Once these roadways are reopened on Wednesday, roadway milling and paving operations will occur along Frankford Avenue between Corse and Hamilton Avenues daily through Friday, December 14, 2018.   Daily traffic flagging operations will be implemented along this stretch of Frankford Avenue to direct motorists through the work zones.

Citizens traveling in this vicinity should expect delays and be on the watch for changing traffic patterns.
