Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications which will be in effect for the Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K Footrace.  The race will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 starting at 8:00 a.m.

The race will begin along Key Highway at Battery Avenue and end at Rash Field.  During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event for the safety of participants, which may cause delays.  Commuters traveling in these areas should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Baltimore Women’s Classic Turn by Turn Directions:

• Start on Key Highway at Battery Avenue

• Head east on Key Highway

• Right on Jackson Street

• Right on Fort Avenue

• Turn right on Race Street

• Left on W. Ostend Street

• Right on Leadenhall Street

• Right on W. Hamburg Street

• Turn left on S. Charles Street

• Right on Henrietta Street

• Right on Light Street and then immediate left on Warren Avenue

• Left on William Street

• Right on Key Highway

• Left on Valencia Court to the Harbor Promenade

• Follow Promenade past the Rusty Scupper to finish on Rash Field

Traffic Modifications for Latinofest

This weekend, a portion of Linwood Avenue will be temporarily closed for Latinofest which will be held in Patterson Park.  In preparation for the event, Linwood Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Eastern Avenue and Pratt Street on Saturday, June 23^rd and Sunday June 24, 2018 from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. each day with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Perring Parkway Ramp Milling and Paving

This Saturday, the on-ramp from Perring Parkway to westbound Northern Parkway will be temporarily closed for milling and paving work.  On Saturday, June 23, 2018 the on- ramp from southbound Perring Parkway to westbound Northern Parkway will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Preston Street Temporary Closure

This Saturday, a portion of Preston Street will be temporarily closed for a special event.  On Saturday, June 23, 2018 Preston Street will be closed to through traffic between Cathedral and Howard Streets from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Lane Closures Along I-295

On Sunday, temporary lane closures will be implemented along I-295 for landscaping work.  On Sunday, June 24, 2018 the left lane of both northbound and southbound I-295 will be closed to through traffic between Bush Street and the county line from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
