Traffic Modifications for the Color Run

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Color Run which will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 starting at 9:00 a.m.   The race will be held primarily on the grounds of Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium, beginning and ending on Lot C. 

In preparation for the race, the following streets will be closed to through traffic:

  • Lee Street from Russell Street to Ramp D – 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Hamburg Street from Leadenhall to Russell Streets – 6:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

St. Paul Place Temporary Closure

This weekend, a portion of St. Paul Place will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.   Starting at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 St. Paul Place will be closed to through traffic between Mulberry and Saratoga Streets, with detours in effect.  This closure will remain in effect until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 01, 2017.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Race Judicata 5K

This Sunday, October 01, 2017 traffic modifications will be in effect for the Race Judicata 5K.  The race will begin and end near the University of Baltimore School of Law near N. Charles Street and Mt. Royal Avenue.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., runners will proceed north on N. Charles Street, left on W. Lanvale Street and straight on Falls Road to the turnaround point just before Chestnut Avenue.  Participants will follow the same route back to finish at Mt. Royal Avenue.

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in this area for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Sowebo Landmark 5K

This Sunday, October 01, 2017 traffic modifications will be in effect for the Sowebo Landmark 5K footrace.  The race will begin near historic Union Square Park on Hollins Street at Stricker Street and kicks off at 9:00 a.m.

Runners will proceed east on Hollins Street, right on Schroeder Street, left on Lemon Street, and right on Poppleton Street.  Participants will then turn right on Pratt Street, and left through the B & O Service Entrance to follow the marked course through museum grounds and exit left on Arlington Street.  The course proceeds right onto James Street, left on Bayard Street, and into Carroll Park via the Washington Boulevard entrance. Runners will follow marked trails in Carroll Park up to Mount Clare Mansion and turn right on Bayard Street, left onto James Street , left on Arlington Avenue, left on Hollins Street to finish on Hollins Street at the H. L. Mencken House.

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in this area for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity may encounter delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
