Moravia Road Ramp Closure

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary Moravia Road ramp closure this Saturday for roadway repairs.   

On Saturday, June 03, 2017 the ramp from Moravia Road to westbound Pulaski Highway will be closed to through traffic from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m. with detours in effect.   Motorists trying to access westbound Pulaski Highway from Moravia Road will be detoured onto southbound I95 during this time. 

Detour signs and VMS boards will be posted in this vicinity to alert motorists of the closure.   Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for A Taste of Three Cities

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Taste of Three Cities, which will be held in Patterson Park starting at 11:00 a.m.

In preparation for the event, Linwood Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Eastern Avenue and Pratt Street on Saturday, June 03, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Charles Village 5K Run and Kids Fun Run

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Charles Village 5K Run and Kids Fun Run.  The event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with the majority of the run taking place on the grounds of Johns Hopkins.

In preparation for the event, the following road/lane closures will be implemented on Sunday, June 04, 2017 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.:

  • San Martin Drive between Wyman Park Drive and University Parkway (road closure)
  • Wyman Park Drive between Art Museum Drive and San Martin Drive (lane closures)
  • 31st Street between Remington Avenue and Wyman Park Drive (lane closures)

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Dot Dash 6K

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Dot Dash 6K which kicks off at 8:00 a.m.

The race begins at the National Federation of the Blind headquarters near the intersection of Johnson and Wells Streets.  Participants will proceed left on Johnson Street, right on E. Randall Street, right on Webster Street, and left on Key Highway.  The course proceeds right on Light Street, right on Pratt Street, and right onto the Inner Harbor Promenade near the World Trade Center.  Runners will follow the promenade back past the Science Center to exit onto Key Highway, then turn right on Covington Street, right on Randall Street, left on Johnson Street and right on Wells Street to finish.  

In preparation for the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants wherever possible along the race route.  Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Federal Hill Jazz & Blues Festival

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Federal Hill Jazz & Blues Festival which will be held along Charles Street in the heart of Federal Hill starting at 12:00 noon. 

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic on Sunday, June 04, 2017 from 4:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • S. Charles Street between Hamburg and West Streets
  • Both drives of E. Cross Street between Charles and Patapsco Streets
  • W. Cross Street between Charles and Oliver Streets
  • Patapsco Street between Poultney and West Streets
  • Marshall Street between Cross and West Streets

In addition, the traffic pattern along Patapsco Street will be reversed from one-way southbound to one-way northbound between Poultney and Hamburg Streets during this time.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity are encouraged pay close attention to posted parking restrictions and to watch for pedestrians attending the festival.
