Traffic Modifications for the Brigance Brigade 5.7K and 1.57 Mile Fun Run

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Brigance Brigade 5.7K and 1.57 Mile Fun Run which will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017.  The event will begin and end at the Canton Waterfront Park.

The 5.7K starts at 9:00 a.m.  Participants will leave the park and proceed across Boston Street to head north on Ellwood Avenue, left on Eastern Avenue and right into Patterson Park.  Runners will loop around the park, exit left back onto Eastern Avenue, right on Ellwood Avenue back to Canton Waterfront Park. 

The 1.57 Mile Fun Run begins at 9:05 a.m.  Participants will leave the park and proceed across Boston Street to head north on Ellwood Avenue, left on O’Donnell Street, right on S. Lakewood Avenue, and right on Fait Street.  The run continues right on S. East Avenue, right on Elliott Street, left back onto S. Ellwood Avenue back to Canton Waterfront Park.

During the event, the following parking restrictions will be implemented along Ellwood Avenue between Boston Street and Elliott Avenue from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In addition, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in this area for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
