Traffic Modifications for the Donate Life 5K

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Donate Life 5K.  The event will be held this Saturday, October 01, 2016 starting at 9:00 a.m. 

The race will start on Raven’s Walk and participants will turn left onto Lee Street, left on Russell Street, right on W. Hamburg Street and right onto Scott Street.  Runners will turn left on Nanticoke Street, left on Wyeth Street, bear right on Hamburg Street and left onto Bayard Street.   

The course proceeds left on Wicomico Street, right on W. Ostend Street, left on S. Sharp Street and right onto W. West Street.  The race continues left on Leadenhall Street, left back onto W. Hamburg Street, left onto M&T Stadium loop around Raven’s Walk, cross over Hamburg Street to finish on Raven’s Walk.   

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops will be implemented along the race route during the event for the safety of participants. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns, and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Brent A. Rosenberg Family Fest and Walk

The Brent A. Rosenberg Family Fest and Walk will be held this Saturday, October 01, 2016 starting at 9:30 a.m. 

For the 3 Mile Walk, participants will gather at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Center “Y” at 900 E. 33rd Street and head east on 33rd Street, left into the entrance of Lake Montebello, and circle around the lake.  Walkers will turn right onto E. 33rd Street to finish back at the “Y”.

For the 1 Mile Walk, participants will exit the “Y’’ and turn left on E. 33rd Street, left on Ednor Road, left on E. 36th Street, and left onto Ellerslie Avenue.  Walkers will turn left back onto E. 33rd Street, to finish back at the “Y”.

Traffic Modifications for the Sowebo Landmark 5K Footrace

The Sowebo Landmark 5K Footrace will be held this Sunday, October 02, 2016 starting at 9:00 a.m. 

The race starts near historic Union Square Park on Hollins Street at Stricker Street.  Runners will head east on Hollins Street, right on S. Arlington Avenue, left on W. Pratt Street, then right into the service entrance of the B&O Railroad Museum.  Participants will run on the museum lot exiting left onto S. Arlington Avenue, right onto James Street, left on Bayard Street, and right into Carroll Park.  The course will proceed through the park and then right on Bayard Street, left on James Street, left onto S. Arlington Avenue, left on Hollins Street to finish on Hollins Street.

Traffic Modifications for the Madonnari Arts Festival

The Madonnari Arts Festival will be held throughout the weekend in the heart of Little Italy. 

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic on Friday, September 30 at 9:00 a.m. through Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. with parking prohibited:

  • Stiles Street between Exeter Street and Albemarle Street
  • High Street between Eastern Avenue and Pratt Street

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns, and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
