BCDOT Statement on Tow Board Meeting

Thursday Jun 17th, 2021

After an investigation, the Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) determined that the Tow Board Meeting held on June 10, 2021 was not in compliance with the Maryland Open Meetings Act.  Nor did the Tow Board have the authority to set the amount of trespass towing fees.  As has been done in the past, that fee must be altered by ordinance.  Thus, the newly voted-upon fees are not in effect and fees will remain at their current levels.

As we move forward with any future Tow Board Meetings, our commitment to being transparent is paramount. Please contact BCDOT’s Director of Communications, Mr. German Vigil, by phone (410) 598-1514 or email german.vigil@baltimorecity.gov with any questions.
